Why I built Tutrivo
A friend of mine runs a small tutoring agency. His tutors are brilliant, and his families are the kind who notice everything. I watched how the business actually ran: evenings spent rebuilding invoices from a spreadsheet and a trail of tutors' texts, a parent asking what their daughter covered last week, a DBS certificate quietly expiring in someone's inbox.
None of it was anyone's fault. The tools just weren't made for an agency like his. The serious ones felt built for a call centre, and the simple ones left him with more admin, not less.
So I started building something for him. One place where a tutor logs a lesson once and everything else follows: the note reaches the parent, the invoice and the tutor's pay are drafted, and the monthly report is half written. All of it in his agency's name, not mine.
Tutrivo grew out of that. I'm building it with a small number of agencies who care about the experience their families have, and I answer my own emails. If something isn't right, tell me and I'll fix it.
